☆ mary ruth was the final abramowicz child born to the abramowicz family, rounding out the total number to eight. given the 10+ age gap between her and most of her siblings, they (jokingly) dubbed her as the "oops" baby.
☆ growing up in an already full household was never easy; she learned at an early age that if she didn't want to be background noise and stand out among her siblings, she had to be as loud as possible. she was always talking (or yelling) to make sure her parents and her older brothers and sisters knew her thoughts and opinions, no matter how big or small.
☆ she was always a happy child with a sunny position, always looking on the bright side of things. this trait followed her through her entire life, even in her darkest moments.
☆ while her father, ephraim, was more quiet and reserved, her mother abbi was the complete opposite. she was the definition of the "cool" mom, wanting to be a part of her children's social lives and dating lives, giving unwarranted advice whenever she felt the need. often embarrassed by her mother's antics, ruthie gravitated more towards her father and was a daddy's girl through and through.
☆ she fell in love with musicals at an early age after seeing grease for the first time. she then began to sing and dance in school plays, the hobby following her from elementary school all the way until the end of high school.
☆ in the beginning of 2006, her father died of a heart attack. the sudden lost rocked her to her very core and she was unable to get out of bed for weeks. the amount of school she missed almost wrecked her entire senior year, but she quickly recovered and barely skirted by to make the requirements to graduate. not being able to live in the same house without her father, she made the move to california to attend usc in the fall.
☆ college was where she had her rebellious stage. it was the first time in her life where she wasn't constantly under someone's watch, whether it was her parents or her siblings. she pledged the sorority alpha phi and later would become social chair. after breaking things off with her high school boyfriend, she began dating more frequently, never settling down for too long. always wanting to be a teacher, she majored in education with hopes of having her own classroom one day.
☆ after graduating in 2010, she and her college roommate moved to huntington beach. she landed a job as a nanny a few months later; it wasn't teaching, but she had always been surrounded by children growing up, whether they were her nieces, nephews or cousins and always had been told she had a strong maternal instinct.
☆ after two years of being a nanny, she made the journey of finally being a teacher. she started to work at a sub at first, bouncing from grade to grade to see where she fit. after six months of subbing, she applied for a permanent position as a kindergarten teacher, and with some stroke of luck, landed a job at huntington seacliff elementary.
☆ ruthie was introduced to a man named braeden by one of her best friends, and even though the two were complete and total opposites, they began to date. they were together for six months before he had to move back to atlanta due to family obligations. the split was mutual, neither one wanting to put the other through a long distance relationship. a few months after their break-up (and while ruthie was in a new relationship), she found out she was pregnant with braeden's child. he moved back to california soon after she gave him the news that he would be a father.
☆ carter ephraim jones was born february 4th, 2014. although her pregnancy wasn't exactly easy, she was thrilled to be a mother, and made her son the #1 priority in her life. she took a leave at work (only returning when she absolutely had to) and put a stop to her dating life - brae included. she rarely ever let carter out of her sight and had a mild fight with postpartum depression, and it's something that she still silently struggles with.
☆ a self proclaimed relationship disaster, she didn't begin to start seeking out a dating life until carter was a year old. she went through soap opera like situations until she landed a relationship with her longtime friend, reed. things were perfect until ruthie began doubting the relationship and broke things off after what would have been their six month anniversary.
